Pig, Pig, Pig WHOOooeee... Damn somethin stinks!

Message to Majority Leader Delay (R-Texas) and your party lovin, lazy, never worked a day in your life, spoiled, good ol’ boy, what you can’t earn you buy, stupid Republicans:

The recently passed transportation bill is not an integral part to anything other than fattening your own wallet… the fact that you can stand before the press and suggest to the American people that our nation’s economic prosperity is in any way connected to the pork lining of this bill is insulting and epitimizes all that is wrong with our country today.

Please, go right ahead, try to explain to me how any of these things are going to help our nation out of our current crisis:
  • $3 million for the National Packard Museum in Warren, Ohio, where the Packard automobile was first produced
  • $1.5 million for the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich.
  • $400,000 for the Erie Canal Museum in Syracruse. New York
  • $14 million for the Children's Museum of Indianapolis
  • $125 million for a bridge linking Gravina Island to the town of Ketchikan in Alaska (Ketchikan is a town of 8,000 people… its airport is on the nearby Gravina Island… currently you have to take a 7-minute ferry ride from the airport to the town…. To save people that 7-minute ride, Alaska wants to build a $315 million dollar bridge)
  • $2 million to construct a garage on the campus of Lipscomb University, in Nashville, Tennessee
  • $4 million for a graffiti-elimination program in Queens and Brooklyn
  • $500,000 for sidewalks and landscaping in Glennville, Ga
  • $1.5 million for horse trails in High Knob, Va
  • $850,000 for a bike and trolley path in Hattiesburg, Miss
  • $2million for a parking facility in Bozeman Montana

Is there not any shame? Where is the morality of our nation? Are we too engrossed in our I-Pod, blogging, latte loving, reality TV shows, Lost lives to realize that any threat that we face from outside our borders is no worse than what we are doing to ourselves…. Look around you… people are losing their homes, their jobs, gas prices are staggering and I guarantee you will continue to rise… poverty, discrimination, and racism is alive and well in America.

And let’s not forget the all-mighty, never done wrong, greasy palmed, never broke a sweat in his life, doesn’t know the meaning of budget, can’t make a decision without consulting his broker, Bush… … we wouldn’t be having this discussion at all if Bush had some balls and would have vetoed the damn thing …. So much for his promise to hold the highway bill to $256 billion… Hello, President Bush, I know you are a lil slow sometimes… but guess what… you do have the ability to VETO. Not that the American People would know it…. You haven’t vetoed a single bill in over four years…. no president since John Quincy Adams has gone four years without a veto… there’s something to be remembered for.

Is anyone getting all of this?
